The Beginning - Phase One

The first step in our journey began several years ago. When faced with the reality of a family in crisis, our search for healing and peace brought us to new beginnings. Addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, as well as the mental toll that fighting physical disease can take had us searching for answers and resources. Our up-ended lives took us to rural Wisconsin. Learning the power of breath, nature, and community, we acquired a small parcel of land, and embarked on creating Nature’s Grace Gardens. The land had been used for agricultural purposes for generations. Our hope is to transform the land using native plants, and materials, creating a sanctuary and community space for those in need of healing, peace, recovery and rejuvenation.

Phase one begins with the basics of building an access road, water and power source, soil testing, escavating and tilling. The garden(s) designs include walking paths, meditation spaces, and labyrinth. The native plants focus on engaging all of our senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste.
